Kouichi Azuma (), also known as Azuma-sensei by his students, is the childhood friend of Akira, as well as the teacher to the main group who is a teacher at Yuuki, Yuuta, Kaname, and Shun's school, Homare High School.
Appearance and Personality[]
Azuma-sensei has naturally gray hair, oval-shaped glasses and he is quite handsome that many girls are attracted to him, though he's still single.
He is known to be very reliable and cool, and during the Cultural Festival Shun states that he must be very popular. When looking for his friend, Akira, Yuuki wonders what kind of person his friend would be like and adds that he thinks he would be "down-to-earth and nice like Azuma-sensei," prompting Yuuta to agree, although that was not the case at all.

At the age of 17, Kouichi Azuma and Akira chose Hidamari Kindergarten as their work experience study. There, they met Kaori-sensei and the former made an enemy out of a young Kaname when he was too nice to her. However, things worked out in the end.
He went into teaching and ended up at Homare High School, where Kaname recognized him as the student-teacher from kindergarten - but Kouichi hasn't realized that Kaname was the young child he'd had so much trouble with over a decade before.
